Looking for a pair of shoes… Where can I find them?
A long time ago while I was in college about 1997,I bought a pair of shoes from Maurices. They were wooden platforms with black buckle straps and a few silver studs on the sides. I loved them so much I ended up buying two pairs of them. The first pair ended up broken so I got them fixed at a shoe shop. I wore them till they broke again, then I bought the second pair until they snapped in half and were unfixable. All I remember is that I got them from Maurices. I have searched Maurices over and over, tried online sites such as shoe sites and ebay, and I still can’t find them. These shoes were so great I could wear them casually, or with a dress. They were so comfortable too that I could dance in them. They were my favorite pair of shoes. I wish I could find them again.I think I paid $35 for them too. Has anyone else here ever purchased something similar from Maurices?

If you don’t want to wear heels, just get plain flats. Target sells some simple ones for around $12.
What are good Long-studded Football (soccer) Shoes?
Hey, I currently have Adidas F5′s, they are comfortable, light-weight, and very well shaped. I have one problem though, I constantly slip on wet pitches due to their low studs and my season is soon going to start and I want a good replacement. I’m a center-midfielder who needs to make runs all over the pitch, what is a good replacement for my current shoes, but have nice long studs?

Need help with choosing shoes for 100m and 200m sprints?
Okay, here are my details:
Age: 14
Weight: 57 kilograms
Style: 100m and 200m sprinter
At the moment I train with ordinary joggers which are over a year old, and I train at my local soccer field. I raced my friend who was wearing his footy boots which have metal studs and I beat him by nearly 20m in a 100m sprint. So I’m a very good sprinter – but I’ve NEVER worn spikes before, and I don’t train at a proper sprint track. So I need help =(
Some say to train in spikes, others say train in joggers. What do I train in? If I train in joggers at my soccer field (which I would definitely prefer) then wouldn’t it feel wierd putting on spikes when I race? Are spikes easy to get used to? Do they make you faster and by how much? Are they comfortable?
At the moment I’m looking at a pair of shoes called: “Nike Zoom Super Shift”. They’re worth $155 (very expencive.. but I can afford it). I’m wondering whether its worth spending that much money on a pair of shoes? Will they make me faster, and how long do a pair of spikes last?

If you are going to sprint in competition you need spikes. There are many good shoes, and they don’t cost $155.
Spikes do help your performance, but you should only use them for racing and very little practice.

Will Football boots Eg. Astros,studs make a difference playing football then playing in just ordinary shoes?
My friends keep taking the piss as I find i can’t play in my Shoes aswell as My astros. Ive told them that I feel more Comfortable in astros than in shoes. But they say it doesn’t matter what your wearing on your feet (Like anyhing!). I said to them why do proffesional footballers pay like £200+ on boots i said it gives you more comfort and in my opinion more control over the ball. While they said it was purely for style reasons and the look of the boots.
Btw i wear Total 90s astros.
and play as a tricky right winger (Try =D) to style my play on C.Ronaldo or Glen Little.

that’s why your like ronaldo and they are not they are jealous because you have more control and balance turn on a sixpence.obviously studs would be better on turf than astros play whatever you feel comfortable in.
